My trading journey began back in 2020, but I can't truly say that I was a "trader" until about 18 months in. Back then, I made all the mistakes one might expect from a beginner: I focused too much on the money, I traded with emotion, I would jump from strategy to strategy, and worst of all - I tried to copy others' styles and trades.
The reality was that I wasn't investing in myself—I was merely looking for a turnkey solution. Months went by and I had blown multiple accounts. I was frustrated, demoralized, and wondering what I had gotten myself into. If I was ever going to succeed at this, I knew I needed to pivot. Hard.
I took a step back and began to recognize the flaws in my approach. I needed to go back to the drawing board and create a strong foundation for long-term success. To avoid repeating the same mistakes, I had to break the cycle by taming my ego and let go of my desire for short-term gratification.
I decided to switch to paper trading, and devoted an entire year to learning everything I could about trading. I read trading books, joined trading groups, and enrolled in multiple courses. It was a long road, but I slowly began to find my footing.
I had come to realize that I needed to drown out the noise and create a system that aligned with how my brain works. I had to learn to trust in myself and pave my own path, instead of trying to mimic other traders; This, along with gaining the ability to look inward, is what finally led to consistency in my trading.
Despite achieving my goals, I was left frustrated by the learning process I underwent. I had taken multiple courses and was forced to sift to so much irrelevant information to uncover the golden nuggets and critical insights that I truly needed.
I had to dodge marketers trying to sell one-size-fits-all strategies, alert groups that promised overnight success, and programmers selling "game-changing" indicators that would do all the work for me; All promises that were too good to be true.
Like many of you, I decided to pursue trading for one simple reason - the potential for financial freedom; This was all I was striving for, but I was taken aback by how many forces were trying to veer me off course and distract me from achieving my true goals. I felt like so many out there did not have my best interests at heart.
After being frustrated by my own learning experience, I felt a strong desire to help others navigate similar roadblocks and pitfalls during their own trading journeys. I know the mental anguish of wanting so badly to succeed at something, yet feeling like nothing is working. I know what it's like to want to give up.
I began sharing bits of my journey on social media, and found it incredibly fulfilling to answer questions and support those who reached out for advice. I felt like I was making a difference—even if it was a small one. I reflected on this experience, and it eventually inspired me to create The Lucid Trader Blueprint—a clear-cut, step-by-step resource that aims to set struggling traders on a trajectory for long-term success.
This linear 8-part course includes 75 fully-narrated lessons that take students from A to Z, complete with visuals and animations for better understanding. It captures the specific critical insights and pivotal realizations that helped me break the cycle of frustration and blown accounts.
